WHAT DO THEY NEED?
The answer is “EVERYTHING” as many have lost everything when their flat or house was destroyed.
BHA’s problem is that we have both limited manpower and warehouse space.
We are happy to recycle unwanted stuff that is of real use at the present time.
In order to cope we need limit what we collect, or receive, to cover the basics and special needs.
If it is possible, sorted, labelled and tied bags or boxes are a great help.
WHAT FOOD CAN YOU SEND?
The following are just some examples
Dried foods:- Pasta, Rice, Packet soups and sauces, Biscuits, Porridge, Milk powder, Dried fruits.
Crisp breads, Chocolate, Kid’s sweets, Flour, Sugar, Cheese spreads. Not cereals at present!
Drinks:- Tea, Chocolate, Coffee, Squashes, Long life milk and kid’s drinks.
Tins and jars:- Soups, Meals, Fish, Meats, Chopped tomatoes, Baked Beans, Vegetables
Fruit, Rice pudding, Pasta sauces, Spreads
THE FOLLOWING ARE UNSUITABLE
TELEVISIONS - FAXES - TYPEWRITERS - VIDEOS - CDS - DVDS
PRAMS - BABY CARRIERS - CAR CHILD SEATS - COTS
LARGE PLASTIC TOYS - HUGE SOFT TOYS
ODD ITEMS OF GLASS OR CHINA - BRIC-A BRAC - PICTURES
PART CANS OF PAINT - HOUSEHOLD FURNITURE- LAMPS

Without funding we have an empty warehouse and empty community centres. We are totally at the mercy of the goodwill of others. You can help by raising funds through holding events, making donations for funding a specific project or for funding lorries of aid to Ukraine.

We are situated in Canterbury, Kent and can collect or within a limited radius due to the rising cost of fuel. Please phone to find out if we can collect from your area.
